Case by Joelle Smaniotto-Gorton.
Girl, Malie, 5 years old, cerebral palsy. She was home birthed at week 41. The labour lasted 2 hours, a fast and easy birth.
At 20 weeks Malie's mum got sick with the flu which took a while to clear.
Malie can says "Mama" and is sensitive to everything, to wind and noise. She crawls with closed hands and can feed herself.
Malie is very active, restless, cheeky, stubborn, loves her routine and has behavioural issues (bites, screams, scratches). She has auditory and learning problems, her body awareness is poor, she is very thin and has absences.
When I first met Malie, she was almost 2. Although she was not walking yet, she was the most restless, active cerebral palsy child I have ever seen. With her hands closed, she was commando crawling on my carpet and trying to jump on my coffee table!
Malie's aunt had polio as a child.
Malie's mother believes that her grandparents have been in the war.
Prescription:
Tarentula hispanica.
Follow upA month later Malie was standing and walking around my coffee table, far less restless. She could use her cup better, her body awareness and coordination had improved. We continued with
Tarentula hispanica for a few more months.
Medorrhinum helped the behavioural issues and the biting reduced a lot.
A year later Malie had learned to balance scooter. She was running, falling less and noticing obstacles more.
Her mother complained then that she was challenging her brother and sister and would not take “no” for an answer. She was fearless and would jump on her scooter determined to go wherever she wanted to.
Prescription:
Neodymium phosphoricum.
Follow upNeodymium phosphoricum calmed her down, her hand coordination improved. She started to learn to ride on a balance bike, became more independent and the biting and pinching diminished a lot.
We kept on alternating between Tarantula and
Neodymium phosphoricum and Malie was improving well.
AnalysisPteridophyta: she loves routine.
Series 442: cerebral palsy.
Phase 6: Malie fights and quarrels with her siblings.
Stage 17: cerebral palsy; absences.
Prescription: 3-442.16.17;
Anogramma leptophylla, paper remedy.
Follow upAfter the first dose of
Anogramma leptophylla, Malie's absences disappeared and her vocabulary improved. She can say more words clearly, her hands are better coordinated. She can take off her shoes and socks better, is sleeping better, her attention to detail is improving, her balance continues to improve, she is not wearing a diaper anymore.
After another two doses of
Anogramma leptophylla, Malie is riding a proper bicycle. She is of course going super fast!
Because Malie is now toilet-trained and more and more able, I have just changed her remedy to
Neolepisorus lancifolius 3-444.16.09.
It has only been 2 months since her last remedy but Malie's eyesight has improved. Her tracking is better, she can now read 2 words together and is saying more words.
