Case by Jan Scholten.
Boy, 10, growth retardation. He grows very slowly, only an inch every three months. He is the smallest in the class and therefore has a poor ability to fend for himself. He wants to be very strong and is ambitious in practising things he wants to be able to do. His eyes are very dry and it feels like there are grains of sand in them which is better when outside and worse when inside. His neck and shoulders are easily strained.
In the past, he has also had eczema and regular problems with coughing and earaches. He can have abdominal pain which gets better when he is on holiday and eats gluten-free.
He hates getting bigger because then everything becomes more difficult. Then he would have to go to work and have no free time. And he likes to watch movies. He is always very busy, moving and jumping around a lot. He likes action films with super heroes. Later he also wants to do something with sports. He is very orderly and likes to have everything tidy. He has a lot of energy. He is very ambitious and has strong energy. He is stubborn and wants to follow through with what he wants.
He has a very good relationship with his father.
