Habitat: forests, grassy places at forest margins; altitude 2000 to 4000 m.
BotanyHerb.
Leaves: petiole 2 to 6 cm, retrorsely pubescent; suborbicular to inconspicuously 5 sided; 1 to 4 cm by 1 to 3 cm; margin repand-crenate and obscurely; 5-lobulate to subentire; apex obtuse to rounded.
Inflorescence: capes 6--10 cm tall, sparsely retrorse pubescent.
Flowers: 1 to 2 cm in diameter; pedicel 3 to 8 mm; sepals obovate, 6 to 7 by 4 to 5 mm, glabrous; follicles ± 8 mm; flowering from May to June
Chromosome number: 2n = 16.
