666.44.08 Arnica montana
DD: Carbon, Sulphur, Ferrum, Lanthanides.
Introduction
Arnica is the trauma remedy, used for falls, bruises, sprains and all other traumas. The typical trauma is the bruise, the extravasation, the ecchymosis or blue spot. It is the trauma of the blood vessels.
They are very strong, like a soldier. They work hard and achieve a lot but it is done to build a fortress around them, to protect their vulnerability.
Mind
Traumatism of grief, remorse or sudden realisation of financial loss.
Ailments from injuries, falls, blows, contusions; mental strain or shock.
Delusion no resistance, - > resistance.
Obstinate, angry, bossy.
Unconscious; when spoken to, answers correctly but relapses.
Indifference; inability to perform continuous active work; morose, delirious.
Nervous; cannot bear pain; whole body oversensitive.
Wants to be left alone.
Comatose drowsiness; awakens with hot head; dreams of death, mutilated bodies, anxious and terrible.
Horrors in the night.
Fear: touch, approach, doctors, operations, injections, open spaces.
General
Sensation: beaten; sore, lame, bruised.
Type: plethoric, feebly in debilitated with impoverished blood.
Weather: < damp cold; < heat; > mountain; internal heat; feet and hands cold.
Sweat: sour, < night.
Time: < 3 am.
Desire: vinegar; food, canine hunger.
Aversion: milk, meat, tobacco.
Food: < wine.
Sleep: sleepless, restless < over tired.
Physical: ailments from injuries, falls, blows, contusions; < least touch; < motion; < rest; > lying down, or with head low.
Discharge: blood; haemorrhages.
Body
Nervous: apoplexy; neuralgia, pneumo-gastric.
Fever: high, hectic, typhoid; pus forming.
Infection: influenza, measles; sepsis.
Vertigo: dizzy, < closing eyes.
Head: hot, cold body; confused; sensitive brain, with sharp, pinching pains; scalp contracted; cold spot on forehead; chronic vertigo; objects whirl about especially when walking; cerebral congestion.
Eyes: bruised, sore; diplopia from traumatism, muscular paralysis, retinal haemorrhage; tired, weary, < sight-seeing, moving pictures.
Ears: noises, tinnitus, < rush of blood; shooting, blood; dull hearing after concussion.
Face: red, full; sunken; very red; herpes.
Nose: sore; cold; bleeding after every fit of coughing, dark fluid blood; empyaema of maxillary sinus; sinusitis, frontal; hayfever.
Mouth: dry; foetid breath; taste bitter, as from bad eggs; sore gums < teeth extraction; heat in lips.
Throat: raw, sore, < morning; acute tonsillitis, swelling of soft palate and uvula; hoarseness < overuse of voice.
Lungs: coughs paroxysmal, violent, spasmodic, dry, < cardiac lesion, < night, < sleep, < exercise, < tickling low trachea, < weeping and lamenting; pneumonia; approaching paralysis; expectoration bloody, haemoptysis; dyspnoea; whooping coug; pleurodynia, bones and cartilages of chest painful.
Heart: angina pectoris; pain severe in elbow of left arm; stitches in heart; pulse feeble and irregular; cardiac dropsy with distressing dyspnoea; fatty heart and hypertrophy.
Stomach: pain < eating; vomiting blood, foetid; repletion with loathing; oppressive gases; pressure as from a stone.
Abdomen: distended; offensive flatus; stitches under false ribs; sharp thrusts through abdomen; liver problems.
Rectum: straining, ineffectual, in diarrhoea; stool offensive, brown, bloody, putrid, involuntary, dysenteric, like brown yeast.
Urinary: urine dark brick-red sediment, retained from over-exertion; bladder ineffectual straining with very painful micturition.
Male: hematocele.
Female: bruised violent pain after labour; uterine haemorrhage, < injury, < coition; mastitis from injury.
Back: backache, sore, < pressure, < lying in a hard bed.
Limbs: black and blue, ecchymosis; sprains, dislocated; strains; muscles weak, painful, < touch, < pressure; joints as if sprained; relaxed blood vessels, black and blue spots, stasis, thrombosis; gout; rheumatism of muscles, tendons, back and shoulders.
Skin: itching, burning, eruption of small pimples; small boils; bed sores; acne indurated, symmetrical; wounds.
