Stachys officinalis

Year 2024, Issue 3, Article 8CaseAuthor: Jan Scholten
Case, woman, 30, fatigue
She has a lot of mental energy but often her body cannot keep up with it; she needs more rest.
She has tics, jerking of her arms or eyelids and sometimes of her voice, a kind of restlessness. She has learned to cope with it and hide it. Friends sometimes tell her that it is because she is hypersensitive and emotional. She is enthusiastic but often forgets that it tires her. She is oversensitive, feels the tension of others and gets tired from people in distress.
She has had panic attacks. She suddenly had an attack while playing her violin; she lost contact with her body and had severe palpitations with dizziness, thinking she would die or become mad. She did not dare to go on the streets and did not dare to play the violin anymore. It took her several years to get over it. It started suddenly in a difficult period in her life. Her first relationship was very difficult; she felt unsure. She was living life to the fullest, going to parties, studying violin and playing sports three times a week at a very high level. Her perfectionism increased her stress levels.
She had a very good youth. Her father also played music and stimulated her enthusiasm for music. Her mother sometimes thought that she should have sent her to a better school. She has good contact with her younger brother. It is not so easy to discuss problems at home, though; her parents tend to get very upset when she talks about something that is not going well with her.
When she studied music, she sometimes had difficulties with the competition, in the hard world. She had to fight but persevered because she very much wanted to play music.
She is oversensitive to medication… fortunately. She has difficulty falling asleep, thinking of a lot of nice things.
She has many fears: disease, accidents, driving a car, death. When she has a headache, she thinks of a brain tumor; when she has palpitations, she thinks she is having a heart attack; when she feel stitches in her chest, she thinks she has lung cancer. She sees it as egoistic to be more afraid of her own death than that of others. She always wants to look people in the eyes, especially in special moments like birth and death.
AnalysisThe strongest panic attack was after a period with a lot of stress in all areas of her life. Her first relationship was very difficult, which indicates the Silicon series. She felt unsure, was living to the fullest, going to parties, etc.: Silicon series. She studies violin, playing sports three times a week on a very high level: Silver series. We can also see the Lanthanide quality in her reflective talent, her sensitivity, and her aversion to medication. In such a case, when all the series are present, we go to Asteranae, 3-660.00.00, which is a culmination of all the series. Her strong desire for the violin is an indication for the Silver series. That brings us to the Lamiidae: the Silver series aspect of the Lanthanides: 3-665.00.00.
She comes from a very stable background, which usually indicates phase 4. There are, however, indications for phase 5, where one feels pushed. Her mother wanted her to have done better, to go to a better school. She is also not allowed to have problems, so she cannot discuss them. It means she has to be better than normal: phase 5.
Her whole story is very common for the Lamiaceae: wanting to do too much, too well, in all fields of life: 665.55.
Her feeling that she has to manage, has to fight, is typical for stage 6.
This combination brings us to Stachys officinalis: 665.55.06.
Follow upAfter Stachys officinalis MK, she feels disturbed for a few days; she feels a little bit panicky, labile, and has more tics. Then, she starts feeling better and improves even more after the second and third dose at fortnightly intervals. She feels more balanced, calmer, has more self-confidence, and is less easily disturbed by circumstances. She is less affected by the opinions of others.
Stachys is repeated once a month. After half a year, she feels very good and she has fewer tics. She feels stable and has a boyfriend who feels right for her.
