666.44.14 Silphium laciniatum, CaseWoman, 70, lymphoma.
She has lymphoma with swollen lymph glands in her abdomen and groin. She feels tired and has lack of breath. She has pain in her abdomen, extending to her leg, with a feeling of a band around her left thigh. Her leg feels heavy, more so when she walks.
It started after a difficult period when her daughter had anorexia and her husband had a burnout with many fears about his health.
She has recurrent influenza with high fever, glowing heat alternating shivering from cold, nausea and diarrhoea. It is often provoked by draughts, worse from cold and better from covering herself.
In the past she had very frequent cystitis with high fever, pain from urination, dribbling urine. It started every time after intercourse and was better from hot baths. The cystitis started after her proplapsed uterus was removed. After the operation she was depressed and did not feel like a woman anymore but dirty and old, lacking self-confidence. She was depressed and angry towards her doctors because of the bad treatment.
Her husband always has been a nervous patient. He was very domineering, what he said had to happen. He blamed her for the anorexia and homosexuality of their daughter.
She is nervous and panicky, about her children, diseases. She fears losing her independence, prefers to die rather than going into a nursing home.
She was a timid, silent child in a big family. She was accused of being underhand because she was so silent. She was raised so that she had to keep her mouth shut, that she had to listen and her opinion was unimportant. She had always the feeling that no-one listened when she said something.
Weather: <- grey weather, > sun: < cold; < draught; -> sea.
Time: < 5 pm; < November.
Desire: sweets !; salt, spicy, fat, fruit; artichoke.
Aversion: purslane.
Follow upAfter Silphium laciniatum MK she starts doing better. Her energy goes up and she feels happier, less depressed. She has less dyspnoea. She is less nervous and panicky. In the course of 3 years she gets regular repetitions of Silphium. After that she is doing fine.
