642.13.14 Helleborus niger, CaseWoman, 40, eczema.
She has eczema on her left foot, toes and along the edge, a kind of fungus, which is worse walking barefoot and before menses. It is worse in the evening and has to do with problems with her partner and her in-laws.
She has constipation but gets diarrhoea before menses. She gets headaches when she is constipated for a few days.
Her teeth are very sensitive and she has frequent inflammations in her mouth.
Her back and pelvis are weak. She gets pain when she does too much lifting, worse before menses and worse during pregnancy.
When she was ten she had meningitis after influenza. She had a terrible headache, with vomiting when she was rising from her bed and with fainting.
Her husband’s sister is single but wants to have children, so she takes her children with or without asking. This cannot be discussed with her husband. She does not know where she stands and doubts if she sees things right. This is worse when her husband keeps on telling her his point of view. She feels unrecognised as she is. It was okay as long as she fitted into the family.
She has the idea that her husband has another woman but he denies it. This makes her unable to trust her own observations.
Dream: swimming all through the year and not progressing.
Fear: thunder and lightning.
AnalysisShe cannot trust her own observations. What she sees is denied by her husband. The problems with the in-laws are denied by the sister. This goes together with a fear of losing her family.
This is typical for
Helleborus niger.
Follow upAfter Helleborus MK she had a striking aggravation of her eczema for 5 days. One day it was so severe that she could not walk. After that the eczema starts diminishing and a month later was mostly gone. Her bowels were working much better. She has worked out her problems with her husband and in-laws after a good talk with her husband. He told her was in love with another woman but did not have a real relationship with her. After that there is more harmony in their marriage. It feels much more positive.
