666.42.05 Centaurea cyanus, CaseGirl, 2, bronchitis.
A girl of two has bronchitis. She has a dry cough that gradually worsens, she vomits after coughing and has fever over of 39°. With it she is passive, wants to lie down, and to be cuddled and comforted and does not want to eat. She has red cheeks and sweats in her face and on her head. There is no asthma with it. The bronchitis is recurrent and often starts after a cool wind. It is worse in the night and on waking in the morning.
The pregnancy was good. Her mother had nausea for a few months. Her birth went quite fast. After birth her respiration was a bit difficult due to water in her lungs. She was breast fed for four weeks and after that she got additional feeding because her mother did not have enough milk. After the vaccinations for measles, mumps and rubella she was passive for two days, sleeping a lot and had vomiting and diarrhoea. Afterwards she was aggressive for a few days and had hard stools.
She is very independent and does not like to be told what to do. She has a fear of being punished and rejected. She screams when she is punished. She becomes hysterical when she has to go to bed. She likes to do things herself like eating and dressing. She does not like to be picked up. In general she has a lot of fun and can laugh loudly. She likes to play with other children which makes her cheerful. She can easily give things away and she adapts easily. She is cautious.
Weather: chilly with cold hands, red nose; likes outside; < wind, < draught.
Time: < 3 am.
Desire: yoghurt, oranges, cheese, milk, meat, coffee!.
Aversion: egg, crusts.

Follow upAfter a few weeks she gets fever again. It vanishes in a few days. After that she becomes easier-going, is more sweet and easy put to bed. She does not have bronchitis or ear inflammation.
After a few repetitions of the remedy she keeps on doing better. She also starts eating crusts. She did not get any fevers and inflammations anymore.
