Idea of being bad and having no self-worth
They feel very bad and lacking in self-worth. It can go so far that they feel they are almost nothing. This feeling can express itself in dreams where they keep on falling into an endless abyss without being able to see or feel anything. The idea that they are evil can arise from many things, such as being a homosexual and being upset that that's bad.
Father sees them as a evil and dark person
This feeling can arise from a father that has broken down their feeling of self respect. Their father has scolded them, told them they were bad and could even go to hell, threatening that God or the devil will come and take them. Often their father himself has very little self respect, thinking the same about himself, seeing himself as a evil and dark person.
Giving up autonomy for God: religious sect
This state can arise from churches and religious sects where they preach hellfire and damnation. It can result from a strict Christian upbringing with ideas like the "original sin", "Everyone not baptized will go to hell" and "Only God can save you from hell". Their self respect has sunk so much that they give up their autonomy and freedom for the sake of going to heaven. They think that by giving up their self they will be liberated and be good again.
