A woman is having anxiety feelings and nightmares. She's the deputy head of a sanatorium for junkies. In practice she takes charge of the whole thing alone. She’s a kind of Joan of Arc, an angelic figure with spiritual interests, helping others without thoughts of reward. She doesn't feel the need of a big career, which she could have had if she'd liked. She is a rather unobtrusive type and looks fragile but beautiful. One would not think that she could cope with such a difficult job but she's managed surprisingly well and all the staff have followed her readily after some initial difficulties. Over the years the situation has been getting tougher and the patients have become more and more violent. In the last few months it's been worse and finally she received death-threats when she intervened against some Russian-Germans who were selling into prostitution one of the girl-addicts in the sanatorium. She thought of quitting the job long ago but never really acted until this moment. After this incident she told the boss she would quit, but inside she was shaky and could not let go, feeling obliged to carry on with it and felt very guilty for leaving others alone with the mess. She had dreams of being shot on the run and hiding. She had dreams of being attacked with a knife and being cut into pieces with terrible pain in the stab-wounds.
AnalysisShe works as deputy head, yet takes charge of the whole enterprise. This indicates
Gold series. But she doesn't want to be the leader; she merely wants to help. This is more a theme of the
Lanthanides. It’s confirmed by her spiritual interests.
The theme of fights and threats is
Stage 12,
Dysprosium. The dreams of being shot and cut into pieces with terrible pain are typical of
Dysprosium.
Follow upAfter
Dysprosium metallicum 200C she quickly felt free again. The need to take responsibility vanished and the guilt went with it. On the third day after the remedy she had a dream of a giant snake crawling up her body and winding around her neck to bite her; it felt like a gigantic and violent power threatening her life, and she could not move. The panic was so great that she could not shake off the impression of the dream for the whole day. After this incident the feeling of being free became even more pronounced. She quit her job without feelings of remorse, got married and had a child.
It is interesting to note that she had frequent dreams of all kinds of snakes in the first years of her job, but this one now was the most terrible. Previously, Naja had helped her best and
Bothrops lanceolatus was second. Since Naja the dreams were not repeated and she could cope with the responsibility better.
