A girl of 10 years of age is cross and horrid when facing everything new. She wants to be treated as an adult. It’s very important that you treat her like a grown up.
She manifests cross and ugly behavior. Yet she is reluctant to go to (a new) school, always refusing to take the train. She refuses to be photographed.
She is and always was an absolute power girl. Once she was determined not to speak a single word in the consultation, which she achieved. When she had to be examined by a school doctor at the beginning of school she told the doctor “I won’t comply with this nonsense” and went off. Nothing could be done.
She has always been very determined.
During pregnancy the gynecologist told the mother that the child might be mongoloid, one of those dubious tests. The mother rejected the information, felt helpless and not cared for, fell into a kind of black hole, and after some time determined in a cross and unpleasant manner: “No, you won’t do that to me”. Her mother felt misled by the doctor and was in deep dejection until she firmly resolved that such a foolish doctor could not play his game with her and angrily kept her own better view, which proved right. And the child might have imbibed that impression.
The girl was born normal and is pretty. So the mother had taken the responsibility and refused the “scientific” information with angry and firm determination, quite like the girl when she refused to be examined medically for her school entry (“den Mist mach ich nicht mit”).
The girl is not much attached to her father and rather ignores him. Her mother is the main figure for her. The mother is also quite similar in stubbornness and understands the daughter's behavior well.

Antimonium 3 times (I put it in brackets as an idea for the next consultation) but something kept me from giving it - I don’t know what is happening at such moments.
Follow upFor 3 days after
Cerium metallicum MK she was very tired in the afternoon and slept much longer. She had a fever on the third day after taking
Cerium. This was the end of the reaction. She became less cross and ugly. She went to her new school without any problem. She also took the train for the first time.
She had another dose of
Cerium metallicum MK after a few months and had no aggravation or fatigue, but the mother reports another boost of the positive change. At the follow-up consultation she squeaks from joy when she plays with others and becomes quite loud, things she never did before.
Formerly she reacted well on Aloe many times, but her repulsive behavior changed only for limited periods and used to relapse.
She got Aloe on the day she refused to speak a single word. As she was absolutely determined, no coaxing or tricks helped; she remained stubbornly silent. “Repulsive to everyone”, and some local symptoms pointed to Aloe: herpes left nostril, excoriation around anus (a frequent symptom). She did well: nose worse for 1 day, then OK, repulsive mood better, spoke more fluently, more grown up. This was in 5 years ago, and she's had Aloe 6-7 times since. But the effect of the Aloe was less obvious. Although it still continued to work, the relapses became more frequent.
Magnesium bromatum was also good 8 years ago. It helped her a bit for biting nails after her father left home for a year to live with another woman; he returned to the family again.
Antimonium was considered as a remedy but not given.
