A woman of 43 has had left-sided abdominal pains for the last 8 years. She has constipation, with stools only every 3-4 days.
She can’t release her emotions, can’t talk to her parents. She feels tense and restless, which is better when she’s alone. She laughs in a choppy way with single fits of laughter. She has an aversion to being confronted with 2 or 3 things at the same time. She feels worse from unforeseen events; they constrict her and she has to breathe deeply, as if her chest is too tight.
Others say that she is contrary and cross, but she feels that she can’t say no and does things against her will. She feels like an outcast, which makes her resentful. She’s very sensitive to social problems and injustice. She’s very philosophical and likes “Sophie’s World”.
Her favorite animal is the goose. She likes everything about geese, their shape, their graceful movements, their long neck and their cheeky and bold behavior.
Secretary, married to long-haired hippie. Her mother is alcoholic.
Dream: a big black bird of prey devours the young of a smaller black bird.
Dream: a needle pierces her eye.
Fear: injections.
She has oppression of her chest, with sore throat and failing voice. She can have an unpleasant dazed feeling as if she's in cotton wool.

AnalysisHer philosophic side and tension are indications for

The curative dream is typical of

It's quite remarkable that the remedy was found in a completely different way.
Lutetium was unknown to Herbert Sigwart six years ago. The prescription was based exclusively on a mathematical calculation of the patient’s horoscope. A test of the interrelation of the planets positions led to number 71 (which is the atomic number of
Lutetium in the periodic table). It yielded the most concentrated picture of all the 109 known elements.
Lutetium oxydatum was the only available salt at that time.
Follow upThe reaction to
Lutetium oxydatum MK was twitching of mouth, upper lip, nose, eyelids, around eyes, ears, scalp and a sensation as if her bowels were moving. After 3 days she feels generally better, as if in high spirits. She sleeps better, feeling lighter and relaxed. Her chest oppression and abdominal pain are gone after 4 days. Her voice is better. Her stools are regular; she has no more constipation. She has cleaned up and thrown away past history, old trash, old letters. It was a good feeling.
After 8 months she needed a repetition. She felt very fine during the whole summer, no more abdominal pain. But then her voice fails again. She would like to explode and shout, but can’t. The
Lutetium oxydatum MK gave a reaction with abdominal cramps and diarrhea for 2 days. A day later, the tension in her scalp, occiput and jaws are gone. She feels relaxed. She’s not burdened any more if she does not help her alcoholic mother and she has no more feeling of guilt. Formerly she felt powerless when seeing injustices, now she just feels detached.
