Cure 9, Duration 5
by Anton Kramer
A girl of 13 years has asthma. The asthma is worse from talking for a long time and better in nature. Sport doesn't affect it. In spring it’s worse. She can have attacks of seeing white before her eyes when reading fast, because then she starts hyperventilating.
School and learning are very important for her. She wants to learn everything, especially natural sciences. She’s smart, wants to achieve and have high results. For a while she had abdominal pains when thinking that she was not doing well enough. But she has no affinity with letters, she has an aversion to reading. Reading is for her an inefficient way of communication. She’s very intelligent and fast. With little effort she learns what she has to. She also likes to achieve well in sports, music and singing. It’s all a challenge for the future.
She’s very talkative and social, helpful and caring. Everything is fine when she has a friend. She developed complaints at 8, during a time when she had no contact at school. But she also teases others, draws others out, although in a friendly way with roguish eyes. She was teased at school when she was 5 and that has caused her a lot of tension. Once a boy tied her up.
She’s very sensitive, sensing a lot in people. She sees colors in and around people and the color of every child. She also comments on what she perceives. She likes to discuss the world's problems, for instance Anne Frank. She has an aversion to seeing unpleasant things on television. She’s nervous about the future but has no worries for herself. She likes to think a lot and even stays awake in her bed for hours to think.
She’s very tense. When young she used to stamp and scream when angry. She’s bright and self-willed. She’s also sensible and rational, not very emotional. She doesn't weep from quarrels.
Past historyEczema in dry spots, located in elbows, knees, buttocks and throat, <<< changing to a new class, which made her very restless.
Freckles.
Red hair.
Ligaments weak, as a baby.
Dream: coition.
GeneralsAversion: breakfast, lunch.
AnalysisThere are many
Phosphorus signs, like being talkative and social, helpful and caring. The theme of friends and contact confirms this. But there’s more to the case. She’s very bright and sensitive. She feels people and comments on it. She even sees colors in and around people. This is more the precocious new-age type of child and these aspects point to the
Lanthanides. The dyslexic kind of problem is a good confirmation.
She’s smart and wants to know everything. This indicates
Europium.
Together we come to
Europium phosphoricum.
ConfirmationsLanthanides: tense, pert, self-willed, rational -> thinking, sensitive, sees colors, discuss world problems, dream coition.
Phosphorus: >> with friend, << no contact, school, talkative, social, freckles, red hair, throat.
DD: Neodymium: roguish, challenge.Follow upOne month after
Europium phosphoricum 200K she’s doing very well. All the complaints are gone and emotionally she feels better.
When she was 5 she had been in treatment for the same complaints and was given
Phosphorus 200K. She had done well on it. Her sleep was better, her energy higher and her eczema was better. She was more open and alert and was laughing more. She had more contact with her teacher. She wasn't teased anymore. Her mother said it was a splendid result. When she was 8 she came back with similar complaints. She also had abdominal pain and earache for six months. She had an aversion to school and got the abdominal pains from thinking that she wasn't doing her work well. Again
Phosphorus helped her very well. She made better contact with her parents and was much less angry. After the
Phosphorus though she was very tired for 2 weeks.
Comment
Phosphorus seemed to be the simillimum, but even at that time there were second thoughts. The picture didn't fit completely, particularly her anger and unemotional attitude. And the initial aggravation of 2 weeks is an indication that the remedy isn't a complete match, that it’s more a simile than a simillimum. She’s too precocious for
Phosphorus.
