Signature
The name is derived from ’Scandinavia’ because the substance was discovered by someone from Scandinavia in 1879. The word ’scan’ may or may not be related to
Scandium, but at least it gives a very accurate description of the main theme of this stage: looking and comparing.
It stimulates the germination of seeds. It would also be useful in different alloys, as it is lighter than aluminium and has a much higher melting point.
