TaxonomyApioidae is a monophyletic clade in Apiaceae.
In the first version of the Plant theory Apioidae was placed in Subphase 4. Apioidae is the biggest Subfamily of Apiaceae, with the most known remedies in general like Conium and Aethusa.
In the update of the Plant theory the Apioideae, the largest Subfamily of the Apiaceae, is split in 3 Subfamilies: Conioideae, Selinoideae and Tordylioideae. They are respectively placed in Subphase 3, Subphase 4 and Subphase 5.
