Chemistry: Sarcolacticum acidum is the optical isomer of Lacticum acidum. This means it is chemically the same structure, but the structure is turned the other way, to the right instead of the left. It reacts the opposite way to polarized light. It is formed in muscle tissue during the stage of muscle exhaustion.
