Personality and behaviour2.5 years old, blond boy, slightly chubby. Motor skillful. Has an involved, sympathetic mother. Enjoys playing with cars at the table and makes good contact. Medical historyEczema since 10-11 months, mostly on arms, knees and sometimes trunk. It itches, but not extremely so. Worse after showering, better with cooling ointment. Never used hormone ointment.

BackgroundFirst child. Good pregnancy, but grandmother died at 20 weeks, which was drastic for mother. Born at 39.5 weeks with vacuum pump; umbilical cord around neck, but good start. No cramps, rapid development (motor and verbal).
Family situationMother is a nurse, father is a consultant. Mother is pregnant with second child.
