Mycology: common, widely distributed psilocybin mushroom.
History: During the early 1900s, these "weed Panaeolus" were commonly found in beds of the commercially grown, edible, grocery-store mushroom Agaricus bisporus; mushroom farmers had to weed it out because of its hallucinogenic properties.
