Name: Auricularia auricula; Auricularia sambucina.
English: Wood ear, Jew's ear.
Content: Nutritional content of protein, carbohydrate, course fibre, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene; various polysaccharides.
General: immune tonic, anti-diabetic, anti-coagulant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, anti-tumour action.
Stops pain and bleeding, increases mental and physical energy.
Mouth: tooth pain.
Heart: high cholesterol, triglyceride and lipid levels; anti-aggregatory on blood platalets-beneficial for coronary heart diseases, hypertension, vascular sclerosis.
Stomach: nausea.
Rectum: excessive bleeding haemorrhoids, abdominal pain; dysentery, excess mucus, haemorrhoids, stimulates bowel movements.
Female: excessive uterine bleeding; debility after child birth, leucorrhoea.
Limbs: Lumbago, muscle spasms and pains.
