A typical situation for Magnolia seems to be that of parents who are absent and the child is raised by grandparents or other members of the family. There is stability in their life but on the other hand there is an insecurity or uncertainty about who really are their parents. They can see the grandparents as more like parents than their biological parents.
Lost, lost in the world.
Confusion, orientation problems.
Lungs: respiration asthmatic, as if he could not expand the lungs enough.
