Botany
Prostrate to somewhat upright annual herb;

Leaves: oval or spade-shaped; in whorls about the stem; few mm to 3 cm long.
Inflorescence: tight cluster of five to ten small flowers.
Flowers: 5 woolly sepals; no petals.
Fruit: oval capsule; ± 4 mm long.
