Labor 7: The Cretan Bull, the Minotaur.
King Minos of Crete had been given a bull from Poseidon, but he admires him so much that he didn't sacrifice it to Poseidon; Poseidon drove the bull mad, transforming him into a half man, half bull that devours people. King Minos had to feed Athenians every year to the bull: Heracles catches the bull and brings it to Eurystheus.
Stage 10: this is the first stage where the fight is no longer with just animals The Minotaur is half human. This is a symbol for the human and instinctive parts in the human mind, the light and dark part, the shadow, which is a central theme of the Lanthanides.
The struggle has to do with an imbalance between receiving the bull and not sacrificing it again, imbalance being a basic theme of Stage 10 and Gadolinium.
