Obvious autonomy through love
Autonomy is very obvious for them. They connect it very much with love, as love for others and the world brings them into harmony with the world. Harmony is the key for independence: it will bring everyone into balance and thus in an equal position of being able to decide freely. They get out of balance when the harmony is disrupted by a lack of love.
Obvious autonomy in marriage
In marriage too it’s obvious to them that autonomy is the key for a good relationship. Husband and wife must be equals in order to have autonomy for both. When quarrels and disharmony arise they get out of balance. Then they have the idea that they are out of control of their world.
Husband holds rigidly to his autonomy
The harmony can be disrupted by a husband who is too rigid in his ideas. He can hold too rigidly to his autonomy to be able to love his wife. He is often self-satisfied, which gives a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere. But he can be too confident of himself, leaving his partner in a state of never being able to be equal to him. He can be so self-centered that he cannot see any other viewpoint.
Spiritually satisfied by lover
They can also have a desire for spiritual development. The idea of self development is so obvious that they feel balance in their inner world. They feel that they can see all sides and bring them into balance. For them, this inner balance is very much connected with the love in their marriage. Or they combine the inner harmony with the spiritual love in the world. For them, love is the thing that brings harmony in them and in the whole world.
