One patient did well on the shaggy Schillerporling (
Inonotus hispidus). The mushroom that grows like a soft velvet cushion on the old apple tree and becomes hard as wood when old.
It is a 60 year old financial administrator who has severe heart disease. When he first came to me 3 years ago he had problems with loss of power and shortness of breath when cycling. He would get out of breath quickly when going uphill and climbing stairs and would break out in a sweat. He is powerfully built and has lip cyanosis. Since he did not respond to several well-chosen remedies, I insisted on a close examination and it turned out that he had a large thrombus in his left atrium. The thrombus could be dissolved. Since then, however, he has had recurrent tachyarrhythmic episodes and has been cardioverted several times. He always emphasized that it all started when he fell from a height of 3 meters from an apple tree. At that time it had taken his breath away and he thought he would die. He even drove home by car in shock. His wife noticed that something was wrong, because he was pale and cold sweat. She called the ambulance and in the hospital they found out that a thoracic vertebra was broken. His heart problems and cyanosis made me think of a rosaceae and his severe illness of an actinide. Together with his love for old apple trees I decided to give Inonotus. His wife reported that since he took Inonotus he was much more loving to her again. Before that, his heart was rather hardened. He was also much happierand satisfied with his work and was able to resolve a long standing problem with his business partner. In the past years he had lost a lot of money due to his laziness. He cut off his commissions. He decided to work less and although he still has arrhythmia, he can do all the work on his beloved apple trees again.
