Platycodon grandiflorus A 32-year-old woman, she is stocky, round, her posture and movements are elegant, she has a soft and friendly face. She acts cheerful, but when she falls silent, her face becomes melancholic. She has eczema on her palms, fingers, and soles of her feet. Hormone ointment calmed the bumps, and her foot is now a patch of calloused skin that is peeling off. It started months ago on the right side, in the middle of the foot at the reflex point for the stomach and intestines. It is red, scaly, and bumpy, causing severe itching. It keeps her awake at night, but distraction and cooling help. The symptoms started after a stressful period. The itching caused her to lose sleep, and she now suffers from vaginal yeast infections and bacteria. She has a busy job as a manager, two children, a lot to organize, and her relationship has not been going well in recent weeks, she says with sad eyes (only later does she reveal that her partner has been unfaithful). She is allergic to nuts and pets, which cause her to sneeze a lot. Past complaints: she once had an anal fistula for which she was hospitalized for weeks, she had a hernia at a young age, and her recovery took almost a year. She had paralysis down her left leg to the knee and sat at home crying from the pain. She had just finished school and wanted to pursue a career where she could help people; she already had a natural authority. At the time, she was caring for her parents, who were suffering from burnout. She had a busy social life, was a workaholic, had two jobs, competed in dance, and then moved in with her partner. Now she is completely absorbed in her work. She wants to be meaningful, to do everything herself, to be in control. It's just easier for her to do things herself.
Her pregnancies went well, but she developed candida infections while on the anti-conception pill. She feels emotionally flat; she can't really enjoy herself or be happy. She always keeps her emotions inside and is now seeing a psychologist. She dreams a lot about her relationship, his unfaithful period, searching or walking along a forest path, feeling: where am I, where do I want to go? These dreams started at the same time as the eczema on her feet.
AnalysisBased on her appearance and demeanor, her softness (both literally and figuratively) and wait-and-see attitude, her kindness and radiance, her capability but not intrusiveness, is chosen for the
Campanulales. We find confirmation in:
Series 6,
Gold series: we recognize ‘wanting to do something for people’, management.
Lanthanides: complaints during the period of living independently and making her own choices, allergies.
Phase 4: responsibility, naturally having dominance (being aware of this fits with
Series 6). Because this is so visible, this is the Subphase.
Phase 3: gentleness, not speaking up (compare this to the
Malvales), ‘where am I, where do I want to go’.
Stage 12: workaholic, partner's infidelity. Busy mind.
Platycodon grandiflorus: Fistula.
Prescription:
Platycodon grandiflorus C30.
Follow-upFour weeks: after a few days, she starts sleeping better, no longer the 2 hours of the past months, but up to 6 hours at a time, then she wakes up, and her head is clear. The first week, she felt very cold and had flu-like symptoms. After a week, the eczema on her hands is gone, but her feet are still peeling. The itching is gone, and she can walk normally again. She has more energy and gets more done. Her head is still too full, she forgets a lot, and is easily distracted. She had been feeling overwhelmed for some time. The uncertainty about her relationship causes tension, insecurity, and sometimes panic. When she is very busy, her heart rate increases, or her arms and legs start to shake. She no longer has bad dreams or panic attacks. Her emotional flatness is now much less pronounced, and she also feels more sadness. Her head is full, she wants to clear it, but doesn't know where to start. After three months, she sleeps longer and has more feelings, the distraction is gone. The fear, the restlessness, and the trembling are much less severe. This disappears completely after Ephedra distachia. She feels calm and has even more energy. Her hay fever did not change the first year.
