A young woman of 21 years old; three months ago she bumped her head, she had a concussion and still suffers from it. She has a stocky build, always looks and speaks as if she is unhappy, with a plaintive voice and a searching gaze, while fidgeting with her hands. She speaks cautiously, listening to herself, as if each time she doubts whether what she is saying is correct. The blow was on the right temple, she still quickly gets a headache in that spot. She feels floaty and hazy. She is very tired. She has to move carefully and cannot bend over. She received osteopathy, which makes her dizzy and very tired. She is quickly overstimulated, by sounds jumbled together. At school, or after crowds, or at her work where it is noisy, she suffers a great deal, 'as if my head has exploded'. After a few hours of bustle it is done for the rest of the day, she has to shut herself off, needs silence to come to herself again. It takes a long time before she falls asleep; in bed too it takes a long time before she comes to rest. She was, however, able to finish her school year. The year before this she had knee complaints, which lessened after Gaulteria. Three years ago she had a chlorine allergy; in a swimming pool she got dreadful itching urticaria, which disappeared after Prometium muriaticum, and her hay fever disappeared with it too.
AnalysisA trauma often reveals a picture of the sensitivity a person already had: the overload calls upon the capacity for recovery and the most sensitive or vulnerable areas 'float to the surface'.
Series 5,
Malvidae: Overstimulation, sensitivity of the senses, is known of the
Malvales. Later she also tells that she is very sensitive to smells, that she senses people and situations, and can for instance even predict behaviour in traffic. This is so ordinary for her that she did not mention it.
Stage 5: Her cautious manner of speaking, the doubt, the wariness, the resignation (unable to resist) are known of
Hermannia salicifolia.
The reaction to osteopathy can also be an indication; dizziness fits
Phase 3 and tiredness fits
Phase 6.
Prescription:
Hermannia salicifolia C30.
Follow upAfter a day the headache is gone, she can move freely again. She can cope with stimuli again, she is no longer floaty or hazy. She can do more and is no longer tired. With screaming children at her work she can still get tired. She still talks softly, thoughtfully, with a calm voice. She is calmer. In the first weeks she still falls asleep poorly, she lies awake until 2 a.m. The painful knee has also lessened, she can walk all day and no longer has to sit down. The year after this she feels well.
