Platycodon grandiflorus A 40-year-old man, he is extremely friendly, gentle, and relaxed in his behavior and appearance. He comes in for abdominal complaints that have been going on for years and are getting worse. There is bubbling in the left side of his abdomen, which feels uncomfortable and turns into stabbing abdominal pain. He experiences discomfort after eating and often has to run to the toilet half an hour after eating. His stools vary from slimy to normal, with a lot of gas or watery. When he eats something different from what he is used to, such as when eating in a restaurant, it is very bad. At home, it is now a daily occurrence, even after bread. He is so used to it, but in the evening on the couch, he has no trouble. His tongue is dark purple in color.
He is cheerful by nature, but sometimes he has a dip. He used to be a carpenter, but his muscles deteriorated, and he became slower. Now, he is a teacher at a vocational school, which he enjoys. He used to be a teacher at a primary school, then took over the family business. At the time, he didn't think about it; he just did it. He employed more and more people, more and more demands were made, and he wondered, “What am I doing this for?” Now he works with children. As a child, he also suffered from stomach problems, in the same place, on the left side of his hypogastrium. He would press on it with a pillow to relieve the pain. Lactose makes it much worse. He reacts to food that is no longer good with vomiting and diarrhea. He sleeps well, his hobby is exercising to stay healthy, he calls himself a bon vivant, relaxed, loves reading, doing puzzles, and listening to music. He wanted to have children, but tests showed that he has too few hormones and has been taking supplements for several years, after which his abdominal complaints worsened. Indications for the investigation were low energy, frequent mood swings, and poor hair growth.
AnalysisA characteristic is the hormonal imbalance, a reference to Class 6. His calm demeanor and objective view of himself and life are reminiscent of
Lanthanides, also fitting Class 6.
Self-employment, guiding children.
Phase 3: Lacking the strength and resilience to handle or desire the high pressure of a business.
Campanulaceae: The gentle, engaging nature of a powerful person has been seen before the
Campanulaceae. Gentleness, deliberation, and non-judgment seem to be characteristic of this family. Gentle and yielding in
Phase 3, above that, a stable appearance, and the responsibility as a business manager in
Subphase 4.
The calmness and certainty about himself and his choices lead to
Stage 10.
Prescription:
Platycodon grandiflorus C30.
Follow-up After 4 weeks: shortly after taking it, he felt a warm sensation in the area where he always feels pain. At home, eating is going better; his stomach remains calm, he no longer needs to go to the toilet, no more gurgling, no more pain. He still has flatulence, but it all seems to be getting better. Eating out has gone wrong three times. His stomach then swells up and feels tight, followed by loose stools after eating. After that, the symptoms become much less severe. Lactose makes it worse; a glass of wine makes it worse. His tongue is now clean and soft pink. At work, eating in the canteen is now going well, but his energy is still not good. He dreams more, vague dreams; ‘I never dream normally’. He has gained a few pounds. After a few months, the symptoms return to a mild degree and disappear immediately after Quilaja saponaria.
