Blepharocalyx salicifolius
Synonym: Blepharocalyx cisplatensis.

Habitat: wide range; open fields, dense forest; commonly understorey of Aruacaria woods and in gallery forests; favouring moist soils; prefers full sun to moderate shade; prefers a moist soil.
Use: medicine; ornamental, in landscaping; wood for general constructions, boards, fuel.
Botany
Tree; evergreen; dense, globose crown; 15 to 20 metres tall.
Stem: ± traight; 30 to 40 cm in diameter; thick bark; heartwood is a light yellowish-brown, not distinctly demarcated from the sapwood, texture is medium, the grain is straight, no distinctive taste or aroma; wood is heavy, hard, with moderate mechanical properties and with good durability.
