Fothergilla major

Woman of 45 comes with eczema, on her neck and hands. It is dry, itching, red and pricking. In the past it was worse before the menstruation, but lately it is more after the menstruation. It is aggravated by gluten, milk products and hot showers. The complaints are better when she has holidays and worse from stress.
She also can have urticaria, red pimples which are worse from stings of mosquitoes and which aggravate from scratching.
She has had nodules in her thyroid.
The eczema started seven years before she came, when she went back to work again after having taken care of her two daughters for six years. Her job gave her much stress from the feeling that she had to prove herself, prove that she could still do her job. She feared that she wouldn't be allowed to stay. At work she felt belittled and suppressed, having less self-worth. Her job had to do with selling arts and art products.
She has a good marriage, but her husband can be a bit suppressing, pushing her to develop herself and saying that she shouldn't worry so much.
Lately he also has stress because they are moving their house which gives her an emotional stress and insecurity.
She has a very strong connection with her mother. She helped her mother a lot in the household when she was young. Her sister had a better connection with her father. She herself didn't have a very good connection with him as he drank too much alcohol. He died quite young and in that period her mother was caring very much for her father and didn't have much time for caring for her daughters.
She could be a strict mother for her children, very disciplined. She had the feeling that her children had to achieve something, that they would that they would be independent, with a good study and a good job.
