Falco peregrinus

Year 2025, Issue 9, Article 4CaseAuthor: Anne Wirtz
Man, 13, injuries.
He came to me in July 2000 because of his susceptibility to sport injuries. He likes to do sports especially foot ball, but now he gets pain in inguinal region, in both ankles and cramps in hollow of the knees, worse after the match. It makes him feel insecure "because if you do not play well in the team they are less friendly". He wants to stretch his knees after the game and now even the warming up is tiring already.
He grows very fast,1 cm a month, and has restless legs, worse night.
At school he has trouble with one of the teachers, he thinks that she is a hypocrite and tells untruth to his parents. " I do not accept punishment if unjust." If things go wrong I kick against my bed or break my pens. I have to break something and if I make mistakes I am angry to myself." It takes very long to fall asleep and it is hard to get out of bed in the morning." Once I had a dream that I was flying in the room of a hotel together with others".
I hate dull or childish people like some teachers I like independent interesting people." He doesn't like to fight and does not react to provocation, he swallows his anger.
He is allergic to dust, cavia's and needs ventolin inhalations almost daily after physical exertion. He eats a lot of sweets the whole day through and doesn't like 'healthy food'. His concentration is bad, he needs variety although he can sit for hours during fishing. He is tired in the evening and he calls himself lazy except for sports.
Any fears? " Surgical operations or dogs who come barking after you." He bites his nails and tears his toenails. He likes exclusive expensive clothes, good taste and quality of life.
His mother who is there during the interview gives her opinion now.
"He does not process information, he is too absent, is too easily content but denies it. Till about age 11 he achieved above average but he behaves quite strange, lives totally in his own world and is outside of the group. As young child he had fancy friends. He is sensitive to noises, what he hears he can imitate. He is afraid to be let alone. He is not reckless doesn't try if he is not confident enough. You cannot give him an order because he does not do it but he can be quite cooperative, for example; for years he piddled besides the toilet and he cleaned it himself. He is very opinionated and impatient. He was late to talk and walk as if infatuated but when he started he did it. He did not want to be touched. School start was not easy, he had difficulties to adapt an he had a lot of complaints about headaches. He can be either cheerful or down." In the past the mother had a fear that he once should suicide himself, he is anxious about pains and pimples.
He is full of mucous especially in the morning with sneezing.
AnalysisI gave him Phosphoricum acidum 200K
Because of the physical complaints i.r.t. growing fast/ growing pains and it worked very well for these problems but not for the rest of the case (of course).
Follow upThe next 1 1/2 years he came from time to time sent by his mother who worried about his ventolin and becotide use.
His parents divorced 1 year ago out of the blue for him, he did not understand it but the biggest impact on him had the loss of their house and the very neighbourhood were they lived before. He lives with his mother but stays regularly with his father who now has a new partner, she is ok to him.
He went to a lower grade school and even there he gets bad results. He says "if I do my best I get good remarks " but some teachers he doesn't like an he doesn't want to do his best for them. "I want things my own way, I hate all those rules". He is always picked at and gets works to punish him, but if he thinks it unjust he refuses to obey and they let him go with it. When telling me about this he sits on his chair with this haughty air as if he smells these 'stinking' teachers.
The nail biting is gone and he got a cat although he has this allergy, and he is very fond of his pet.
Follow upHhis mother reported; " He uses too much ventolin. He does not take any care for himself, in icy cold wheather he doesn't wear warm clothes or gloves. He does not eat properly only sweets the whole day through. He is very indolent and told his mother that he had the feeling as if he lived under a glass bell. He is very keen on his looks especially regarding his hair. He has no feeling whatsoever about the value of things and he is very opinionated." She really worries about him.
In the mean time I did some research in Reference works, I put in.
indolent/as if in a dream/desire sweets/ haughty.
One of the (33) remedies was FALCO PEREGRINA and this made me curious about this and other birds, so I started to look for the information I could get to study and compare the proven bird remedies and before he came to my consultation I was convinced that he needed this Falco remedy.
Febr.'03He admitted that he used his Ventolin almost daily, physical exercise costs him too much of his breath, running or cycling f.e. then he needs an extra dosis. The Becotide he takes about every second day in stead of the twice daily prescription. He tries to get rid of it.
His sleep is interrupted and he complains about neck pain since one month. He hates to sit still and the sport he likes the most is football.
I asked him what animal he would choose to be if possible and he answered immediately " a cat. "
Why? "because then you just can relax and do nothing." And In wildlife? " a bird who has almost no enemies and can fly very fast. I do not feel like learning because of the pressure. Most of the teachers are always after me, they pick on me and send me out, It strikes my fellow pupils too, then I get angry and refuse to go. You have to be friendly to the teachers but they humiliate me, I think it stupid that they can treat me that way and I am not allowed to react. I hate stupid rules."
Last week he was sick with pains in the throat, muscles, fever, nausea, dizziness and trembling. He could not stay in bed because that is too boring.
I asked him about bunjee jumping for affirmation (see the proving from J.Shore in Ref. Works) and he answered a bit bland "I did it already a year ago just like parachute jumping, canyoning and all kind of (dangerous to us. A.W.) high jumping " (his mother told me later how excited he was, during his elastic jump he cried loudly "Cool!!!!") He likes to have his own permanent place but no fixed times or repeating things. "I do not like to think too long I prefers action, I want to see results from what I make or do. I need to be fascinated or I let go.
He is never cold except when he just got out of bed.

Follow up4 months after the remedy
He did not need any ventolin any more. His results at school are better. "I do not spent more time for my studies but I use the time more efficiently. My concentration is better. I want to pass my exams. " About arrangements at home he thinks that his mother has too many complaints about him. F.ex. "I clean my room once a month then slowly it gets a mess and if it starts to bother me I clean it up again. I am feeling better inside my skin, things are less of a burden. I feel more cheerful. No more pains. I have not been ill any more." Less problems with the teachers at school. He can be very annoyed by the friend of his mother if he occupies his room and his computer. He still eats frequently and is very picky what he takes. He does not want to take a holiday job because he is not allowed to spent his money how he wants.
He has some friends but has no interest for girls (yet). Now his favourite sports are athletics, sprinting and javelin throwing.
Five months later his mother let me know that he did not make it this school year.. but that she and his father clearly saw a change for the better.
Since it is holiday time I will have to wait for more specific information, but I know that there is a basic change going on judging how the mother gave her opinion this time.
Nine months after the start of the remedy his parents hired a teacher to assist him to do his schoolwork. He has to go there everyday and he mutters "I do not need it at all, my results are good, my mentor admitted it to my mother but she is not satisfied. My concentration is good especially for the strategic internet games. I am always the winner. I want to join the Commando's after finishing school. I think I have the correct mentality for that profession. " When I asked him about being disciplined, he told that it is implicated in his choice. His health condition improved so it will not be an obstruction to get into the Army he thinks.
Food? His diet is getting more regular and he still eats sweets but not instead of his meal anymore.
He asks about the health effects of food and about meat he tells that he likes especially hare, pheasant and roasted chicken.
Every weekend he stays with his dad and he likes the shooting with the air gun together with him or some computergames.
He likes to go out in town with friends and buy clothes, at parties he likes to chat, not dancing," all those useless steps
except those of Michael Jackson, but that is unique."
He has not been ill this year but from time to time he pretends to be a little sick to be able to stay home from school, because his mother is "too strict for me".
He takes Flexotide once every 2 days (instead od twice a day) because they told him that he should take it all his life, but he slows it down cautiously, he has no physical complaints.
