Ceratophyllum submersum

Year 2025, Issue 6, Article 4CaseAuthor: Irina Shylova
Remedy code: 3-641.11.01.
Case by Dr. Irina Shylova.
A 30-year-old man, diagnosis F 20 (schizophrenia).
Father is an alcoholic. As a child, he was very offended when people told him this. He graduated from school with a gold medal, and from a university. He worked in management positions in a private enterprise. During his student years, in a fight, while defending a girl, he received a blow to the head with a short-term loss of consciousness.
The illness began three years ago. He believes that after turning to a Gestalt therapist, his health began to deteriorate sharply, and blames her for his illness. The patient trusted the Gestalt therapist very much: "She will guide me in life." Then attacks of uncontrollable behavior began, delusional thoughts that bandits could attack him, aggression, he could leave home and not remember where he was. He describes himself as very suggestible and gullible. He has very poor memory, does not remember the events of the previous day. Everything is boring, uninteresting. He underwent long-term treatment in hospitals in Dnepr and Moscow. For the last year, he has been taking the drug Arilenthal (aripiprazole) at a dose of 15 mg, one tablet per day, without improvement. He sleeps 15-16 hours a day, does not work. His medical history includes hepatitis B, osteochondrosis, paresis of the abducens nerve of the eye.
When he reads a book, he does not understand where reality is and where fiction is, he believes that what is described in the book happened to him, falls into the reality of this book. He wanted to commit suicide (hang himself). At the reception, he constantly sways from side to side, and very profuse sweating of the whole body (sweat flowed) with a strong odor was also noted.
AnalysisHis confusion, and the blurring of boundaries between fantasy and reality point to Hydrogen series.
Prescription: Ceratophyllum submersum 30.
Follow upAfter a month, the mental state and memory improve. He can tell in detail what he did the day before and the day before. When reading books, he realizes that this is a fictional story and does not mix it with real life. Sleep has decreased to 8-9 hours. He does not want to sleep anymore. His previous interests have returned. When visiting a psychiatrist, who constantly monitors him, an improvement in all parameters was noted. The dose of Arilenthal was reduced by half, the side effects of the drug began to decrease (squeezing in the back and weakness in the arms).
Prescription: Ceratophyllum submersum C60.
Follow upThe mental state continues to improve. He began to look for a job. Sleep is normal. The doctor who is observing him noted a further improvement in the condition.
After another 2 months. The condition continues to improve, there is no confusion, no confusion of fantasy and reality.
Prescription: Ceratophyllum submersum 200.
Supervision continues.Until recently, it was very difficult to find a drug to treat patients with such diseases (schizophrenia, autism, etc.). Currently, the possibilities have expanded due to the publication of Jan Scholten's book "Amazing Plants". It describes more than 2,500 herbal preparations, many of which were poorly studied and unknown drugs.
