Carbolic acid caseKill him with spear, gazember!
Peter, born 1958, married, examined for anaphylactic shock after wasp sting. First bite was very dramatic: ambulance visited his neighbour and doctor came to him immediately after sting. He knows nothing about it; he was unconscious within a few seconds. He was treated during 10 months with no result. He used Epipen/adrenalin/ injections: if he took two ones, he could see doctor from emergency dimly. He was unconscious after one dose of adrenalin like without medication. I treated him with auricular acupuncture and homeopathy.
- I have normal blood tests, doctor do not want believe I have no diet. Beefsteak, scrambled eggs, lard, bacon, flank, sausages – this is my diet. I do not eat beefsteak, I gulp it. I said they examined me 10 months, they destroyed my bowels. My head is like melon, my belly is like ball. I do not know what they stuffed into me. I feel rumbling, my bowels are very noisy, and I feel bloated.

His son has similar anaphylactic reaction to wasp sting too, not so severe. He is extraordinary sensitive to smells. He knows which of their neighbours do the washing. He can differentiate every conditioner. Next information sounds unbelievable: he can feel if somebody is tanning till 100 meters– he said, he feels sunburnt skin. I treated him with the same remedy, but only a few doses.
- He wanted fight off it. He knew it will bite him. He waited it, nothing more. My wife was half-dead. He has extraordinary smell; I am not able to name his senses. He looks like strong, but he is like butter inside. He cannot harm flies. I can kill everything: kid, rabbit, and pig too.

Case analysis: remedy was clear from single symptom: Generals – shock anaphylactic, bee stings. Patient is sensitive to wasp, not bees. Gastrointestinal complaints are covered with MM of this remedy. Sensitivity of senses is more pronounced in his son. Themes of organic carbons according to Morrison are present too. But some features of patients are striking: I underlined a few expressions:

It has many symptoms of allergy. Several modern authors have mentioned this remedy in the treatment of chemical hypersensitivity syndrome. While many of the remedies in the organic compound group have effect over this condition, Carbolic Acid is one of the most common remedies in this condition.
As with other benzene derivatives, the initial stage of Carbolic Acid is characterized by clarity, rapid thoughts and desire for mental activity. Allen states.
"Delightful ideas, which came faster than he could give them, shape in words."
This mentalization is sometimes accompanied by great inhibition - the patient may hardly be able to speak loudly enough to be heard. At other times there is total loss of inhibition and the patient becomes overly affectionate or aggressive and rude behaviour ensues. He is like loose cannon.
He cannot stop thinking, even in sleep; it becomes exhausting. Later he ensues a mental fatigue, inability to read or study, disorientation and even inability to recognize loved ones. It is as if the patient, from feelings of being abused or from irritation, distances himself from others, becomes hard. In the proving, came the symptom, "Affection bestowed seemed distasteful." There are images of dead bodies or embalmed people reflecting this inner deadness. Similarly the provers dreamed of a person who could not be awakened.
There is discontentment and poor humour. The patient seems to feel people are fools (censoriousness is characteristic of the whole organic group).
Great sensitivity to chemicals, fumes and perfumes. Nose
Smell acute. Especially sensitive to chemical odors. I prescribed Carbolic acid C200, later 1 M.
He felt better, his digestion was better; his belly is smaller, he lost 5 kilos during 6 weeks. He has less desire for sweets; “I run into sweets less often /into shelves of their shop/. My appetite is not so ravenous.” He slept better. He did not test his sensitivity after treatment. /His strange idea could be confirmation of typhoid miasm: acute – foolish part is prepared sting of wasp, other part of planned test is psoric.
