Resedaceae

In the Apg3 classification Resedaceae is a family in the Order Brassicales. Resedaceae are closely related to Gyrostemonaceae and to a lesser extent Tovariaceae and Pentadiplandraceae.
Resedaceae: Caylusea, Ochradenus, Oligomeris, Randonia, Reseda, Sesamoides.
Gyrostemonaceae: Codonocarpus, Cypselocarpus, Didymotheca, Tersonia, Walteranthus.
Tovariaceae: Tovaria.
Pentadiplandraceae: Pentadiplandra.
In the Plant theory Resedacae is treated in the same way and placed in Subphase 3. Gyrostemonaceae, Tovariaceae and Pentadiplandraceae are taken together with Resedaceae.

Oligomeris, Randonia and Ochradenus are close to Reseda.
Resedaceae were placed under the Cronquist system in the order Capparales. The APG II system places it in the order Brassicales. In Apg4 it was expanded to include the genera Borthwickia (formerly Borthwickiaceae), Neothorelia, Stixis, and Tirania (formerly Stixidaceae) and Forchhammeria (formerly in Capparaceae)
