0.1.8 Plant theory Use
This book can be used in many ways. The first is to get an understanding of the Plant kingdom and its classification. I have used the name Plant theory for the classification presented in this book. The Plant theory also provides an understanding of the plants from the essences of Series, Stages and Phases as has been published in “Homeopathy and the Elements” and “Secret Lanthanides”. The Plant theory makes the connection with those essences and concepts, bringing a unity in the homeopathic theory. It gives a deeper understanding of plant remedies.
Getting accustomed
To get accustomed with the Plant theory one has to understand and learn the Series and Stages as presented in “Homeopathy and the Elements” and also in this book. The Phases are a new expression. Essentially the Phases are the same as the Stages but then only 8 instead of 18. Phases can be best learned from the Carbon and Silicon series as they have very much in common with the remedies in those 2 Series. For example, Phase 1 looks very much like Lithium and Natrum, Phase 3 looks very much like Boron and Aluminium.
Understanding the numbering system makes it easy to understand the Families and Stages. The numbers are a short notation for which Series, Phases and Stages are present.
Prediction
The Plant theory makes it possible to predict remedy pictures of plants. The picture of the family that the plant belongs to is applicable to that plant. The Stage is not predictable with the plant theory and has to be ascertained in each case individually.
Analysis
Cases of patients can be analysed directly according to the Plant theory when the essence is clear and the problem is understood. This makes straightforward prescribing possible. The case taking becomes problem analysis instead of symptom gathering.
Filters
The Plant theory can also be used partially, for instance in cases where the problem is unclear. A good method is to use the Plant theory as a kind of filter for the case, for a repertorisation or Materia medica search.
Examples are:
Including Lanthanides: Asteridae.
Excluding Lanthanides: all, except Asteridae.
Including Silver series: Malvidae and Lamiidae.
Iron series indicated: Fabidae, Myrtidae, Ericidae.
Carbon series mostly indicated: Magnoliidae.
Phase 3 indicated: Pandanales, Malvales, Boraginales, Campanulales and others.
