Phaeanthus ophthalmicus
Body
General: tuberculosis.
Action: antispasmodic; anodyne; anti-tuberculotic; depression of the smooth muscles in vascular, intestinal, tracheal and uterine preparations, counteract the stimulant effects produced by pilocarpine and histamine; larvicidal in mosquitoes; similar to the curare alkaloids.
Eyes: sore; inflamed conjunctiva, conjunctivitis.
Lungs: respiration increased, then decreased, stopped.
Heart: hypotension, hypertension.
Female: uterus spasms; dysmenorrhoea.
Skin: ulcer; small wounds.
