Lindackeria paludosa
Region: south America, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela.
Habitat: lowland forest, non-flooded land; sunny position, tolerating light shade; open areas of primary forest; forest edges and clearings; roadsides;e levations below 400 metres.
Use: seed for oil; medicinal; excellent timber, but rarely available in sufficient sizes; wood for charcoal.
Botany
Tree, understorey; 20 metres tall; evergreen shrub or a tree with a spreading or pyramidal crown; it can grow up to 15 metres tall.
Stem: bole straight, cylindrical; 10 - 25cm in diameter; small shoots emerging from its base; heartwood is light yellowish; sapwood nearly white; wood is very close-grained, hard, moderately heavy, more or less brittle
Leaves: very viscid.
