"Antagonism within itself".
All along our era, two Roman writers - Pliny and Dioscorides - wrote about the healing effect of dog milk. It was prescribed to pregnant women for induction of birth as well as an antidote for various poisons. The effects of this drug in the treatment of diphtheria have also been described.
Lac caninum is a homeopathic medicament made from milk of a dog. There lies the naturalness of the dog in it. Dog is a controlled, civilized animal. Suppressing basic animal nature, it express only its controlled and homogeneous element. Dog is addicted, not able to find food, depending on his master. His survival depends on keeping his master happy by being active and showing affection. Lac caninum has fears of not achieving a success. Fear that it will not be able to fulfil his duties. There is a need to show oneself, otherwise the master will not show the need to own it. However, the dog knows that even if he is successful and cheerful, he will never be equal to man because he is at the end of the hierarchy. Therefore, a person in the status of Lac caninum has a constant feeling of inferiority. The blush of humiliation, malice, contempt, overlooking, thinking they are always being insulted. So he begins to despise himself. "I will never be good enough.".
Psychical and psychological symptoms: The important feature of Lac caninum is a feeling of floatation during walk. The patient believes that whatever he says is a complete lie, and he considers himself to be a deceiver. One of the specific symptoms of Lac caninum patient is faith that his own nose belongs to someone else, or his body is not his own, or someone else is speaking instead of him.
Lac caninum may also cause malformations or contempt diseases.
