A remedy of Asphodeliaceae
Neglected and rejected
Case by Vladimír Petroci

Summary: A woman with severe digestive problems – chronic bloating and diarrhea – feels rejected by her parents and used by her partners. The remedy Aloe Socotrina, which quickly relieved her problems, was found originally by repertorisation and knowledge of the themes of the plant families, and later confirmed by its placement in the Plant theory.
Key words: Digestive complaints, diarrhea, heartburn, cramping in calves, urge to stool after eating, rejection, disgust, relationship problems.
The patient is a 55 year old woman with chronic digestive complaints. She is neatly dressed in turquoise, with matching floral earrings and perfect makeup and hairdo. She has diarrhea and pain in her stomach and hypogastrium, and painless hemorrhoids. She also has scoliosis, pain in her cervical region, eczema on the joints of her hands and cramps in her calves at night and on stretching. She is allergic to nickle. She is very chilly, mostly in her hands and feet.
She is very flatulent, with the feeling of pressure and loud rumbling in her abdomen. She suppresses flatus and releases it only in the toilet. When passing wind she can pass also a bit of stool, which makes her afraid to pass wind freely. The chronic diarrhea is connected with urging to stool after every meal. She has stools with undigested particles of food 4 - 8 times daily, shooting out forcefully. Bloating and heartburn is worse since last the four years and is aggravated by coffee, fish, garlic, scrambled eggs, fruit and mint tea. Bloating and pain is relieved by warm applications.
Three years ago she had three episodes of intense renal colic, passing stones in her urine. During these episodes she had vomiting and diarrhea. When there is any problem in the family, she vomits. For example she vomited when she saw her daughter losing hair during measles as she believed the child had leukemia. She also had vomiting and diarrhea during the delivery of her first child.
The bloating worsened four years ago, when her daughter married a man 14 years older. The problem was his 20 year old son, who is unemplyed and lazy, aparasite; the daughter had to look after him, too.
The stomach pains started eleven years previously, during the divorce with her husband. It was a tempestuous time. Before the divorce he was physically attacking her for two years. He tried to rape her three times, and he forced her to sleep next to him. She was afraid he would suffocate her with apillow. She felt unfairly treated during the divorce: he came dressed like abeggar while she came nicely dressed. He complained that she spent too much on cosmetics and finally she was looked on as the bad one.
She married him because he was used to be funny and witty. His former wife betrayed him. Although he was originally nice to her, in time he became nasty, talking badly about her figure, so she started to exercise and lose weight. She is now remarried to aman who is nice to her, but who reproaches her that she is impatient to have new things, for which she takes out loans.

A schoolmate in elementary school told her once she has a big nose. Since then she has a complex that she is not pretty, therefore she is always well dressed, even at home.
She does not know her father. He left when her mother was pregnant with her, doubting if he was really the father. She and her mother then lived with a man who cared for them, but her mother was unfaithful to him and got pregnant with a younger man, an alcoholic, adrone, a loafer, with whom the mother took up drinking. He left, and she and her sister were raised by the former husband whom her mother had cheated on. But there she felt that her sister was favoured over her, as she was prettier and more extroverted.
The patient is very sensitive to injustice. She is not able to lie. She has always had the feeling of being rejected because she had been an illegitimate child. She felt frequently criticized. For example, roommates would constantly correct her language.

When asked what her three wishes for her life would be, she answered:
1. Health for the whole family
2. A happy marriage for her daughter and son
3. To be free of financial problems and debts.

A good metaphor for her would be that she is like a good instructive book which can help many people.
She likes flowers, mostly carnations and succulents.
She hates snakes. She cannot look at them, not even on TV.
People say that she is goal oriented, persistent and pedantic.

I have repertorized the basic physical problems:
Abdomen, distension, eating, after, agg
Rectum, diarrhea, eating, after, agg
Rectum, flatus, stool, during
Stool, undigested
Stool, shooting, out
Abdomen, rumbling

The consultation was in 2011, so Jan Scholen’s Plant theory was not yet available, but we already knew the themes of many plant families thanks to his Spring seminars in Utrecht. Iconsidered the Plant kingdom as she liked flowers, she was wearing turquoise floral patterned earrings and blouse, she was chilly, caring and her story was more complicated compared to the mineral kingdom. Several elements surfaced: Sulphur (beauty, dress, husband, book, eczema), Oxygen (injustice, stool, drone, parasite, lazy men), Fluor (money, squandering, rejected, illegitimate child, violence, alcoholism), Muriaticum (caring about daughter, son, sister, mother), Silica series (family, presentation, image).

Based on the repertorization I considered Rheum (fitting with Caryophyllidae - carnation, diarrhea connected with delivery), Aloe socotrina (keynote: stool passed during flatus) and Colibacillinum (digestive ailments, parasite theme). I tried Colibacillinum first, without success. Then I gave Aloe 1M dissolved in water, one teaspoon once daily.
After one month of Aloe she reported she has only one stool daily, though it is still thin. She doesn´t have any pain in her stomach. The abdominal bloating completely disappered and there was no urging to stool after eating. Also the pyrosis, cramps in calfs and eructations are much better. Overall she feels 50% better.
Three months after the first dose she has no diarrhea, and no pains, bloating or pyrosis.

If the case would have been taken after the discovery of the Plant system (2012), it would have been easier to focus on the proper group of plants. Caryophyllideae (663) with Rheum have a similarly prominent aspect of Silica series as do the monocots, of which Aloe is a member. The Caryophyllideae have a strong Lanthanide quality, which is missing in the monocots. Therefore the emphasis of Caryophyllideae is on caring about others, considering everyone, while the Monocots (633) are focused only on their own family and whether they are liked or not, if they are accepted or not by family and peers. Both remedies - Rheum as well as Aloe - are in 6th phase, with the feeling of injustice and neglect.
The new number, 3-633.57.16, reflects more precisely what we have seen in her case, as her life situation was one of neglect and dislike, not of being under pressure as it would be in phase 5. Stool and bowel problems are typical pathology for stage 16.
