Zoology
Goshawk lives throughout Europe and excels in its flying abilities, for which it is widely used in falconry. It doesn’t like to circle, like the most predators, but thanks to it wide wings and long tail, it has excellent manoeuvrability skills in wooden environment. It prefers to prey surprisingly. Therefore, it flights relatively low above the trees or by the edge of a forest, attacks it’s victim by the surprising sort-distance flights and trails it also between the branches. However, if a followed bird reaches certain escape speed, the Goshawk would normally give-up. It usually hunts weaker, less able, poor, sick or mentally unstable birds, less the mammals.
Mythology
Goshawk symbolizes endurance, courage and obstinacy. It was worshipped as a patron of war by Incas. According to the horoscope of Incas, a goshawk person is a natural warrior, courageous and decisive in his/her actions, resistant to the intrigues of life, achieves his or her aim in life. In work he/she is uncompromising, impulsive, and little misunderstandings activate anger and aggression. This person always searches an adventure, loves taking a risk and travelling. He resents boredom and a daily life routine.
